Why is my agent waiting for LinkedIn?

Read your agent’s status and check whether it needs time, attention or a new connection.

Written by Umer Arif

“Waiting for LinkedIn” does not always mean the account is disconnected. The agent may be waiting for search access, an account allowance or a safety pause to end.

1. Read both status messages

  1. Open the agent and read its latest Discovery message. Note any next time shown.

  2. Open Accounts and find the LinkedIn account assigned to that agent.

  3. Follow the status below. Do not reconnect just because the agent is waiting.

Accounts shows the connection status and account limits.

2. Follow the account status

  • Needs reconnect. Use Reauthenticate for the account assigned to the agent and finish the LinkedIn verification.

  • Needs attention. Read the reason. Reconnecting is not automatically the right fix.

  • Finishing setup. A new connection can take up to 10 minutes to become ready for search. Leave it connected while it finishes.

  • Connected, Checking or Healthy. These labels do not ask you to reconnect. Healthy means the latest health check passed, not that every action can happen immediately.

  • Safety pause. Read the reason and any next time. The pause does not guarantee protection from a LinkedIn restriction.

3. Check for an allowance wait

Search, profile checks, invitations and messages have separate limits. Agents on the same account share them. Preparation of a new account and provider pauses can reduce what is available.

Adding more agents does not give the LinkedIn account more capacity. A waiting action can continue only when its account and saved rules allow it.

A location warning is different

A location-verification warning is not the same as a disconnected account. Read its message. A temporary lookup problem may be retried without widening your audience.

When to ask for help

Confirm the agent is active and uses the account you checked. If the wait continues past a time shown, repeats unexpectedly or has an unclear warning, contact support.

Include the agent name, exact status, any next time shown and when you noticed it. Do not share passwords, verification codes or session cookies.
