MCP lets a compatible AI app use ProspectHalo tools from a conversation. You can review saved leads, manage outreach agents, and prepare LinkedIn content without switching between every dashboard page.
The available tools depend on the connection you use and the permissions you approve. Your ProspectHalo plan, usage limits, sending-account health, and outreach approval settings still apply.
Get the connection URL
Sign in at app.prospecthalo.ai.
Open Settings, then MCP & API.
In AI agents and MCP, copy the connector URL.
The standard custom MCP URL is https://app.prospecthalo.ai/api/agent/v1/mcp.
Find the recommended connector URL in MCP and API settings. Sample data shown.
Connect your AI app
Open the AI app’s custom connector, plugin, or MCP-server settings.
Add a remote server named ProspectHalo and paste the URL above.
Choose OAuth sign-in. If asked for OAuth client registration, use automatic registration rather than entering invented client credentials.
Sign in to ProspectHalo when prompted. Review the requested access and select Connect.
Return to your AI app, enable ProspectHalo for the conversation if required, and ask it to check your workspace.
The recommended OAuth connection does not require a ProspectHalo API key or custom request headers. You sign in on ProspectHalo’s authorization page instead of sharing sign-in credentials with the AI app.
Find the current setup instructions for your client
Client menus and availability change. Use the current instructions from the app you are connecting.
Claude connectors. Look under Customize, then Connectors. Your organization may need an owner to add a custom connector first.
ChatGPT custom MCP setup. Follow OpenAI’s current instructions for adding a custom server and choosing authentication.
Cursor MCP documentation. Use a remote server configuration and complete OAuth when prompted.
Other clients, including OpenClaw, need compatible remote MCP and authentication support. Use their own documentation for the configuration format.
Start with a workspace check
Try Check my workspace and connected accounts using ProspectHalo. Tell me what is ready and what is blocked.
You can then ask for a specific task.
Show my outreach agents and their current status using ProspectHalo.Show saved leads for my active agent using ProspectHalo.Prepare three LinkedIn post drafts using ProspectHalo. Let me review them before scheduling.Help me set up an outreach agent using ProspectHalo. Show me the complete audience and plan before creating it.
Understand actions and approvals
The standard MCP endpoint supports both reading and changing workspace information. It can also expose real actions, including replies, content scheduling, immediate publishing, and Autopilot controls. It is not a read-only connection.
Review the exact audience, account, content, and timing before approving changes. Publishing now posts to the selected LinkedIn feed immediately. Sending a reply sends a real message. Enabling Content Autopilot gives ongoing permission to generate and schedule posts without separate approval for every post.
Ask the AI app to explain any missing permission, plan limit, connection problem, or required approval. Connecting does not bypass those checks.
Use an API key only when needed
For a script or client that cannot use browser-based OAuth, generate a key in MCP & API. Copy it immediately because the full key is shown only once.
Use it as Authorization: Bearer <your-api-key>. If the client cannot set headers, the app also provides a connection URL with ?key=<your-api-key>. Treat the key and that URL as secrets.
API keys are workspace-scoped. Use Revoke beside a key to stop requests using it. Removing a saved key from one client does not revoke copies elsewhere.
Troubleshoot or disconnect
If connection fails, check the exact URL, start authorization again from the client, and confirm that custom remote MCP connections are allowed for your account or organization.
If tools are missing, enable the connector for the conversation and start a new chat. Mention using ProspectHalo in your request.
To disconnect an OAuth connection, remove or disconnect ProspectHalo in that AI app’s connector settings. Revoke an API key in ProspectHalo if you used one. Disconnecting does not pause agents or cancel posts already scheduled in ProspectHalo. Manage those separately in the dashboard.
