An agent can find possible matches without adding them as leads. People may be duplicates, fail your rules or lack the evidence needed to pass a required check.
1. Check the latest status
Open the agent and read its latest Discovery message.
Make sure the agent is active and discovery is enabled.
Open Accounts and read any warning on its assigned LinkedIn account.
Check the account status before changing your audience. Sample data shown.
If the agent is waiting for LinkedIn, follow the waiting guide first.
2. Review who you are asking it to find
A small audience may have fewer suitable people. Review your roles, companies, locations and exclusions. Broaden a rule only if you still want the people it would include.
If a selected location cannot be verified, discovery can be blocked rather than silently searching everywhere. A temporary provider lookup problem is different. Read the warning before changing the location.
3. Check Required and Preferred rules
Use Required for a true must-have.
Use Preferred for helpful details that should not block an otherwise suitable person.
Missing evidence is not proof that a person passes a required rule.
Read why a person passed, failed or could not be confirmed. Sample data shown.
Check the assessment date. If your targeting changed afterwards, the old result is not proof that the person matches the new rules.
4. Allow for shared account limits
Search, profile checks, invitations and messages have different allowances. All agents using an account share them. A new account or provider pause may have less capacity available.
Your LinkedIn account type may not support every search filter. In some cases ProspectHalo checks those details after search, so more possible matches need review before a suitable lead can be added.
5. Check duplicates and incomplete profiles
A result may already be saved or may not contain enough usable evidence. Search totals and newly added leads are not expected to match.
Do not repeatedly force test runs or change every rule just to create activity. This can hide the real cause.
Still not progressing?
Contact support if discovery never starts, passes a displayed next time without progress or behaves unexpectedly. Include the agent name, exact status and roughly when the issue began.
You do not need to accept a broader audience just to get help.
